Soul Patrol

Matthew 25:31-46. Soul Patrol is a jail ministry designed to minister to inmates in the Midland County Detention Center, male and female. Soul Patrol volunteers go to the jails on Thursday nights from 7:30pm until 8:30/9:00pm. There are only women in the jail on Industrial location as well as the downtown location. Men minster to men and women minister to women. The ministry is one of spontaneity, especially for the women since you never know how many women or how much time you will have. God always shows up to teach what he wants. The aftercare of these women is something that we are becoming more and more involved in and hope to soon have a comprehensive plan to reach and help these women. This is a different type of ministry and the issues are as different as the women that are involved.

Qualification includes a passion from God for this type of work, a spirit filled heart and life and an interview with the Pastor/Board of Elders and the current director of Soul Patrol. Applicants must also undergo an application process with the City of Midland, which includes a background check, a TB shot, and training with the jail Chaplain.
